CORCAS Chairman meets with Chilean parliamentary delegation

The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid received at the Council headquarters, this Tuesday, July 28, 2015, a Chilean parliamentary delegation, led by Mr. Roberto Leon, President of the geopolitical Group from Latin America and the Caribbean in the International Parliamentary Union (GRULAC).

At the meeting, attended by Secretary General Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin and Mr. Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat, Corcas member, Mr Khalihenna evoked the history of the Sahara conflict, including the origins of the conflict in the context of the era of regional and international polarization that characterized the Cold War. 

He also discussed the UN role in the conflict settlement process on the basis of the autonomy plan submitted by Morocco in 2007 described as ultimate and equitable solution. This solution is based on consensus, dialogue and peace promotion.

The delegation, included, in addition to Mr. Leon, Romilio Gutierrez Pino and Roberto Poblete Zapata, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom July 24-30, 2015.
