HM the King to Address Nation Saturday on Throne Day

HM King Mohammed VI will deliver on Saturday (July 30) a speech to the Nation and chair a reception in Tetouan on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Sovereign's ascension to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors, the ministry of Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced on Thursday in a statement.

The speech will be aired on radio and TV channels starting 10 a.m., it added.

Their Royal Highnesses the Princesses will chair, in the evening of the same day, a dinner offered by HM the King at the Marshan palace in Tangiers in honor of the female guests.

On Sunday, July 31, HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) will preside, at the Meshuar square in the Tetouan royal palace, over the oath-taking ceremony before the sovereign by newly-graduated officers of civil, paramilitary and military institutes and schools.

Afterwards, HM the King will receive, at the officers' mess hall in Tetouan, the best wishes of the Royal Armed Forces and will receive tops of the class of various civil, paramilitary and military institutes and schools. A luncheon will be offered on this occasion.

At 4.30 p.m. of the same day, HM the King will preside over the allegiance ceremony in the Meshuar square at the Royal Palace in Tetouan.
