This second edition, which coincides with the commemoration of the historic visit of His late Majesty Mohammed V in the region, aims to promote the cultural heritage of the Sahara region in its various facets.

Organized by the ZAILA Association for the Development and Heritage Preservation, the event which provides an important part to the environment, aims also to shed light on the customs and lifestyle of nomads who are now threatened by oblivion. 

The festival is also an opportunity for the Saharawi woman to revive local traditions, particularly through the development of open space for exchange and sharing between Moroccan and foreign women's groups.

In addition to the culture and environment, this edition will be marked by sport activities, the screening of documentary films, organizing a retrospective photo exhibition, lectures and workshops on sustainable development, say the organizers.

This festival has an international dimension which is manifested by the voluntary participation of associations from, among others, Switzerland, Netherlands and France, in addition to the participation of bands from Mali and Mauritania.
