Laâyoune: presentation of Autonomy in the Sahara book: prelude to the Maghreb region

Sahara Autonomy: prelude to the Maghreb region, a book written by Abdelhamid El Ouali was presented on the second day of the debate on the situation of human rights in the Southern Provinces, which ended Thursday in Laayoune.

Mr. El Ouali said on that occasion that the main idea of this book was to show the relevance of the Moroccan proposal for granting broad autonomy to the southern provinces".

This proposal is a democratic option in perfect harmony with the new concept of self-determination, he said, evoking the failure of previous options proposed to resolve the Sahara issue.

Mr. El Ouali considered that the choice of autonomy is a new phase of development in the Southern Provinces and throughout the Maghreb region, adding that this option is characterized by its objectivity.
