Mr. Fassi Fihri has also presented a draft agreement between the Moroccan Government and its Ukrainian counterpart, and another one between the Kingdom and the United Nations Higher Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Concerning the Kingdom’s territorial integrity issue, the Minister has reiterated Morocco’s commitment to carry out serious and extensive negotiations about the essence of the autonomy system, as a historical opportunity that would allow to end up the artificial conflict around the Sahara, within the territorial integrity and the national sovereign of the Kingdom and within a prospective, open and ambitious vision aiming at achieving the Maghreb region integration and taking up the development challenges.
He has also tackled the issue relating to other parties’ persistence to hinder the negotiation process, as witnessed through their attack to the personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General, Mr. Peter Van Walsum, as well as their contradictory statements about the 5th round of negotiations (…) .
