Belgium Supports Moroccan Autonomy Initiative Placing Sahara Region 'Within Framework of Kingdom’s Sovereignty, National Unity', to Act 'As of Now on Diplomatic, Economic Plans in Line With This Position'

Cambodia expressed, on Tuesday, its support for the Moroccan autonomy plan and the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Liberia reaffirmed, Tuesday in New York, its support for the Autonomy initiative presented by Morocco in 2007 with a view to reaching a final solution to the regional dispute over its Sahara.

As Morocco prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Glorious Green March, which enabled the Kingdom to regain its territorial integrity, the Moroccan Sahara has become a haven of peace, African integration, and shared development, Morocco's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Omar Hilale, affirmed Wednesday in New York.

Gabon reiterated, Tuesday in New York, its support for the Morocco's autonomy initiative, deeming it a "serious, credible, and constructive basis" for reaching a lasting solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
