The recognition of the so-called 'SADR' in 1984 by the Organization of African Unity, now the AU, was "a historic mistake", said Cape Verde's National Assembly MP Hélio Sanches.

The Committee on Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs and Moroccans Living Abroad, organized on Tuesday in Rabat, a roundtable on the latest developments concerning the national cause.

There is no stopping the growing international support for the Moroccan Sahara. Following the strong official positions expressed by several global powers, such as the United States, Spain and Germany, in support of the autonomy plan presented by the Kingdom, it is the turn of intellectuals, politicians and associations of the Maghreb region to display their mobilization in favor of this realistic and promising solution for the region.

The minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad, Mrs. Olivia Ragnaghnewendé Rouamba, reiterated Burkina Faso's support for the territorial integrity and national unity of Morocco as well as for the Moroccan autonomy plan, "which constitutes the only credible and realistic solution" for the settlement of the dispute over the Sahara.

The Peruvian press denounced Polisario's threats to carry out operations in cities in the southern provinces of the Kingdom of Morocco, considering that the separatist front is now revealing its true face as a terrorist organization aimed at destabilizing the region.
