Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, held a bilateral meeting on Wednesday in New York with the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Yvette Cooper.

Papua New Guinea reaffirmed, on Wednesday in New York, its firm support for Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara, the Kingdom’s sovereignty over its Southern Provinces and the Moroccan Autonomy Plan.

Burundi has reiterated its “steadfast position” in support of Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region, as well as its support for the Moroccan autonomy plan “as the only credible and realistic solution to resolve this regional dispute.”

Morocco’s Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch affirmed Tuesday in New York that the autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty is the only realistic and lasting solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Panama’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Javier Martínez-Acha Vasquez, reaffirmed, on Tuesday in New York, his country’s support for the autonomy initiative presented by Morocco for the definitive resolution of the regional dispute on the Moroccan Sahara.
