Morocco is one of the United Kingdom’s oldest allies and a key partner on a range of issues related to both British and global security, said Sir Liam Fox, former UK Secretary of State for Defense and International Trade, on Monday.

A delegation from the French city of Dreux visited Dakhla on Wednesday to explore economic potential, major development projects, and partnership opportunities in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, following the recent signing of a friendship pact between the two cities.

The international momentum driven over the years by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of the Moroccan Sahara and in support of the autonomy Initiative continues to grow, reflecting the international community's consensus on the need to put an end to this regional dispute, within the framework of the Kingdom's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The rapid investment momentum in Dakhla makes the region a true strategic hub for South-South cooperation. Morocco is actively participating in the third Africa-Spain Summit, held from July 6 to 8 in Madrid, under the theme "Cooperating Together within a Strategic Relationship."

Liberia, as a new non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council starting 2026, reaffirmed on Friday in Rabat, its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and its sovereignty over all its territory, including the Sahara region.
