Last Thursday, the relevance of the autonomy plan presented by Morocco as a solution to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara was highlighted in Barcelona during a roundtable that brought together Moroccan and foreign diplomats, parliamentarians, academics, and students.

The Republic of Ghana considers the autonomy plan presented by the Kingdom of Morocco as the only realistic and sustainable basis for a mutually acceptable solution to the Sahara issue.

In a letter addressed to the President and members of the UN Security Council, Ambassador Michael Imran Kanu, Permanent Representative of Sierra Leone to the United Nations, condemned the distortion of the truth regarding the Moroccan Sahara in a paragraph contained in the Council's latest report to the General Assembly, expressing regret over the political characterization and assessment of the situation in the Sahara.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy reiterated on Tuesday his country's support for Morocco’s autonomy plan, describing it as "the most credible, viable, and pragmatic basis for a solution to the conflict" over the Sahara issue.

Before the United Nations Committee of 24, Antigua and Barbuda reiterated its full support for Morocco's territorial integrity and national sovereignty, including the Sahara region.
