Peruvian Congress urged the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday to express its "support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative for the Sahara, recognizing its feasibility and credibility as the only solid basis for a final solution to this conflict."

The participation of representatives of local elected officials from the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra regions in the Moroccan delegation to the 57th United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), held in Addis Ababa on March 12-18, is a strong indication of the interest shown in the Kingdom's southern regions in the process of regional and continental integration, as well as the determination to diversify and promote their economies,” President of the Sahara Center for Development Studies and Human Rights Mrabih Rabou Shaibata emphasized.

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Al-Budaiwi reiterated the Council's decisions and constant positions in favor of the Moroccan Sahara, the Kingdom's stability and its territorial integrity.

Saudi Arabia on Wednesday expressed its unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over the Sahara, considering the Autonomy Initiative as the only solution to this regional dispute.

Some forty countries reaffirmed on Monday their support for Morocco's full sovereignty over its Sahara during the 58th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC), held until April 4 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
