Marou & Lham

Habitually, Sahrawis eat rice with camel meat. Among the main meals that we can mention is Marou and Lham (rice with meat) which is at the same time an easy and nutritious meal.

Preparation is done as follows: we put a substantial quantity of meat, preferably camel meat, in a special pot with a bit of oil and salt to give flavour.

Then, when cooked, we take meat out of the pot and put instead Marou (rice) which should be cooked in meat sauce on small fire.

After that, we offer the final meal by putting rice in the center and decorating by meat.
