In spite of the evolutions that the various aspects of the Sahrawi culture knew, marriages in the Saharan provinces have preserved many traditions. One of these traditions is known as Al Faskhah which is an additional proof of the dowry’s value.
Al Faskhah is a gift sent by the mother's bride to the bridegroom’s mother and family. Generally, the gift is a number of sophisticated locally made perfumes called Al Khamira.
