Slouh Mohamed Salem, from Ait Ousse tribe, was arrested Sunday by the militiamen of the polisario and was handed over to the Algerian military security that transferred him to a secret location.
Slouh Mohamed Salem is known for his opposition to the leadership of the Polisario and his public criticism of the repressive policies against opponents in Tindouf camps.
Another member of the "Polisario-Khatt Achahid" group, Karama Daych Moulay Ali, who was arrested earlier this month by members of the Algerian military security, is still missing.
The family of Daych Moulay Ali, has called for shedding light on the circumstances of his arrest and disappearance, but officials of the separatists denied any link with the incident, referring it to the Algerian authorities.
Tindouf’s security officials denied, for their part, having arrested the Sahrawi activist, suspected of links with the Polisario-Khatt Achahid, whose members are subject, for several months, to an unprecedented surveillance in the Tindouf camps.
